Failed attempt #1

Last year July, I promised to make a blueberry cheese cake for someone's birthday. However, with my super procrastination, I only get to made it last week xD
The recipe I got seems really easy..
  1. Mix digestive crumbs, melted butter, & sugar in a bowl
  2. Mix cream cheese, eggs, & sugar in another bowl.
  3. Lay the first mixture on the bottom, then pour the second mixture on top of it and bake 15mins.
  4. Cook the blueberries and pour onto the layers, refrigerate it overnight!
Super easy kan?! But it turns out, the bottom are too thick and sweet, cheese not enough, blueberries too watery...

i did not use the fresh berries because it is too expensive to fail

It will take me for quite awhile for the 2nd attempt..LOL

14th Feb 2010

You expect to hear some romantic celebration here? Nah, I did not have any celebration...in fact it was my beloved Reema's farewell. She left Kl on this day to further her studies in NZ for 10 months.
We had few pre-celebration for her before she left, Palate Palette; La Bodega; Finnegans. I can't express how much I would miss this whacky woman within these 10 months, but I'm sure our friendship will not fade away with the super little catching up session, sorry it is supposed to be zero catching up session.
However, looking at the bright side, FaceBook and MSN are helping alot =) I miss u babe!! Remember, enough with the Asians already =p!!!

My new TLR camera

I got a 35mm Twin Lens Reflex Camera from Kinokuniya last Thursday!!! It comes in a book/box, and it's in loose forms. All the instructions are in Japanese, thank God for visual guidance -_-. I am waiting for my baby to fix the parts for me so I can start using it ASAP.

the loose parts

I'm sure you would know how it functions even though the name sounds so complicated. The method/theory is exactly the same like we used to study the reflection of image during Science class. The object is being reflected on the 1st mirror on top, and then reflected to the 2nd mirror at the bottom, and then reflect back at our own pupils. To snap a picture using TLR, you have to hold it at your waist line, how old school is that!?

I am so excited and anxious now!! Now I'm hoping someone would give me a scanner because I foresee I will be scanning a lot of pictures in the future =)
